Matt & Ellen, college sweethearts, live in the busy city of Washington D.C., so they chose to escape the hustle & bustle and have their wedding in picturesque Leesburg, VA at the gorgeous Historic Oatlands House & Gardens. They hired Starlit Events as their Day of Coordinator to bring all the details of their big day together.

The Story

Some couples might let the weather ruin their wedding day, but not Matt & Ellen! They embraced the rain armed with umbrellas, and ended up with fun photos and an especially memorable ceremony.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Details 

The decor matched the expansive gardens that the couple chose as the venue for this special day, with lush greenery for centerpieces and gorgeous, creamy white florals. Despite the weather, the reception was a true party from start to finish.
