As a wedding and event planner, I’ve worked with couples to help put together their special days, from handling all the small details to making sure set up is impeccable, and the day runs smooth as silk.
I’ve seen tons of different decor inspirations, heard so many lovely speeches, and teared up during the ceremonies and first dances. I’ve become friends with my lovely clients and have been so grateful for the opportunities provided by owning my own business.

And now, I get to plan my own wedding! I got engaged to my fiancé on Christmas night 2018, and it’s been a whirlwind of a year! Being a wedding planner, I of course got right to work planning the major things – figuring out our date, the venue, the preliminary guest list, and so on.
What’s been one of my favorite parts of planning my own wedding so far? Our engagement photo session!

Of course, our engagement session and photos would be nothing without our super talented photographer (shout out to Katie Finnerty Photography!). She was amazing at making sure we felt comfortable in front of the camera, and our ease with each other shines through the photos.
How do you pick a location?
Our wedding venue will provide beautiful greenery backdrops for wedding photos, so I wanted to make sure our engagement photos would be a bit different. We started in downtown Rochester to get some urban themed photos, and then chased the sunset to the lake to get some gorgeous shots by the water.
Why should I schedule an engagement photo session?
If you’re planning your wedding, I highly recommend scheduling an engagement photo shoot! Not only will it provide more casual photos of you and your sweetheart, but also gets you comfortable in front of the camera before your big day.
